The first Eroica, the original and historical one, is the Eroica of Gaiole in Chianti, born in 1997, which today continues with the enhancement of environmental heritage, to a sustainable lifestyle, to clean cycling and done for the sake of being together in sport and Italian beauty.

Today the Eroica has become a Permanent Route, marked and practicable all year round, a fine example of enhancing the environmental heritage through an eco-sustainable project to encourage the beauty and harmony of tourist discovery that praises slowness and gentleness, away from traffic and confusion.

The success of this race is international: about 15,000 people arrive from all over the world, enhancing the territory and in particular, on the first Sunday of October, Gaiole in Chianti, which becomes the center of the event, also creating excellent opportunities for those who would like to invest here for hospitality.

The farmhouse, which is 390 meters above sea level, was built in 1891.

In 2012, it was renovated, but maintaining the traditional style.

It is on 2 levels, in which 5 rooms have been created, including one on the ground floor with bathroom and four on the second floor, also with attached bathroom, which makes it particularly interesting for tourism.

One enters the living area on the ground floor through a beautiful entrance hall with a barrel vault.

Also on the ground floor, in addition to the hall with fireplace, we find the kitchen, built where the old cellar was with a magnificent vaulted ceiling: we also find, a pantry room and a technical room with laundry.

The truly eye-catching exterior is home to a variety of more than 250 roses from various parts of the world, a great passion of the current owners, as well as a magnificent herb garden, where, if you study, you can make ingredients for cooking and herbal teas, some fruit trees and a few olive trees.

Everything is equipped with an automatic irrigation system, fed by a 90-meter-deep property well.

But that's not all. In addition to the farmhouse, there is another building of 19.50 square meters, intended as a greenhouse and obtained from an old pigsty, whose roof houses 4 solar panels that contribute substantially to the heating of the water in the bathrooms in the summer, making you partially autonomous.

The farmhouse is nestled in a seemingly magical forest that creates the illusion of being in the middle of nowhere, amid bird songs and plant aromas, when in fact you are practically within reach of everything.
